GASC Web site Relaunch Success

In March the Great American Scrapbook Conventions Web site (www.greatamericanscrapbook.com) was relaunched to promote the upcoming Arlington, Texas event. It's just 30 days later and the results have been overwhelming.

It is estimated that throughout all of 2006, the old GASC site generated roughly $100,000 in online registrations.

Within the first 30 days of the new site launch, it has already generated nearly $250,000 in registration revenue! This means, a 150% online revenue growth over last year to date, and there are still several months of online registration to come in 2007.

In addition to this fantastic boost in online revenue, customers continue to contact the GASC staff to say how much they love the new site and how easier it is for them to browse the classes and register online.

Sara Dumford, Conference Director, would like to thank everyone involved in the relaunch of the site.

Site features include:

  • Conference date/city announcements
  • Workshop and Make & Take Details
  • Vendor listings
  • Newsletter sign-up and more.

The new site allows for online registration utilizing a third party for payment processing; a special thanks to Interactive Media for developing this backend system to allow for seamless transactions with our customers.

Too, it is more attractive, user friendly, and the collective efforts have customers visiting, and more importantly registering for the conference.

Thank you to all involved: Karen Lapthorn (IM, Project Manager), Andy Uhl (IM, Programming), Drew Whiting and Holly Terry (IM, Design); Meg Cannon and Joan Heiob (Creative Services); Rose Flowers, Sally Slack, Julie Champneys, and Natalie Kendall (Great American Scrapbook Company); and Beth Dean (Marketing).

The Great American Scrapbook Conventions encourage the preservation of personal and family histories through education, inspiration and preservation.

Thousands of scrapbookers attend the shows each year to renew their creativity, learn new techniques and reconnect with friends through workshops, cropping parties and shopping.

    2007 Show Schedule

    • June 22-23, Chantilly, Virigina
